PC Rebuilds
Over time, all computer systems suffer from a variable amount of slow-down. This can be due to a number of reasons, some of which are listed below.
- Too much software installed (e.g. From magazine cover disks)
- Items running at startup on your PC that are not needed
- Lack of free hard drive space for system tasks
- Spyware & virus activity
Whilst all of the above items can normally be dealt with via regular servicing, there is no doubt that a complete computer rebuild is the best way to eradicate annoyances such as PC system crashes and slow downs.
What is a rebuild?
We would normally carry this out in our workshop. The rebuild is carried out to a strict procedure, ensuring we do not miss anything. The result is that your computer will operate the way it did when it was first purchased.
During a PC Rebuild we will carry out the following tasks:
- Back up your computer data (documents, photographs, music,etc.).
- Remove all dust from the inside to prolong your PC's lifespan and prevent components overheating.
- Wipe the system's hard drive, erasing everything that was on it. Including the Master Boot Record where some viruses may reside.
- Reinstall your operating system.
- Install all the lastest hardware drivers and patches on the PC.
- Apply all required updates to ensure secure, reliable running.
- Reinstall the software you require.
- Restore your documents, photographs, etc.
- Fully test your computer system.
Onsite reinstallation of all other devices and personal software is also available.
